Stripe Integration

Connect Stripe to accept online payments from your customers.

Setting Up Stripe Connect

  1. Go to SettingsPayments
  2. Click Connect with Stripe
  3. Complete the Stripe onboarding process (you'll be redirected to Stripe to verify your identity and set up payouts)
  4. Once connected, your invoices will include a Pay Now button

You can check your Stripe connection status at any time under SettingsPayments.

How It Works

When a customer receives an invoice by email, they can click the payment link to pay instantly via Stripe Checkout. Supported payment methods include credit cards and other methods enabled in your Stripe account.

Once payment is processed, the invoice is automatically marked as Paid in FairBooks and the paid date is recorded for BAS calculations.

Note

Stripe Connect is set up at the organisation level. All members of your organisation share the same Stripe connection.

Subscription Billing

FairBooks uses Stripe Billing for its own subscription plans. Manage your FairBooks subscription under SettingsBilling:

  • Choose between monthly or yearly plans
  • Access the Stripe Customer Portal to update payment methods or view billing history
  • Only the organisation Owner can manage billing
