The Legal Disclaimer

The first time you use FairBooks, you are asked to read and accept an Important Legal Notice before you can continue.

What it says

The notice sets out how FairBooks should and should not be used. In summary:

  • FairBooks is not tax advice. It is an accounting record-keeping tool. It does not provide tax, legal, financial or professional advice.
  • You verify your own GST and BAS figures. FairBooks helps you track GST and prepare BAS reports, but you are responsible for checking every figure before you lodge with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
  • Seek professional advice from a registered tax agent, accountant, or the ATO for questions about your own tax obligations.
  • You are responsible for keeping accurate records and meeting your obligations under Australian law.

The notice also links to our full Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Accepting it

To continue, tick the box to confirm you have read and agree, then select Accept & Continue. You only need to do this once.

It reappears until you accept

If you close FairBooks without accepting, the notice shows again next time you sign in. You cannot reach the rest of the app until you have accepted it.
